Fall foliage has developed slowly and beautifully this year, and we've had many good days to enjoy it. The Woodsdale garden got spiffed up in September and is almost ready to say good-bye to the last of the canna lilies. Volunteers have gotten many positive comments while they worked. Thanks to all who enjoy it, and all who pick up litter throughout the park.

Garden at South and Woodsdale
The daffodils blooms disappeared quickly, perhaps picked, but the purple alium stayed for two weeks. Perennials should be blooming for most of the summer.

Memorial Day irises and flags
For a few more days or maybe a week or two, purple and yellow irises will bloom in the Triangle Garden. They made a lovely Memorial Day display. Thanks to Mr. Tomaszeski for mowing the lawn, thanks to Tom Leonard, Mary Sparrow, and Molly Jo Tomaszeski for planting the cana bulbs that will soon be the main feature of that garden. It looks great!

A touch of cheer at the Triangle
Molly, Mary, and Kris set up three decorated trees a few weeks ago. The trees certainly brighten our neighborhood landscape as we get ready for a long white and grey winter.
